THE PROJECT

We Are Out of Time intend to find out how much sustainable architecture has been built and designed in the field of the places of culture throughout the Italian country.

The project is developed according to three phases:

1

Comparing the best architectural practice to pursue a sustainable future, analyse them through the lens of the life cycle assessment of material employed and then start the census.
2

Building a database that can be easily turned into guidelines capable of meeting the needs of biodiversity and ecosystems protection through architecture, with the low apparatus.
3

Spreading the outcomes of the research along with the culture and the concepts of eco-responsibility, circular economy and the Agenda 2030 strategic goals by the organization of seminars, conferences, exhibitions, publications, and workshops.

The census activity starts with the launch of a call for design addressed to the world of professionals that aims to collect data related to eco-sustainable designs for cultural places. Also, parallelly to this, another call, this time addressed to universities, has the objective to collect papers that refers to research that deals with sustainable prototypes, material, and strategies for cultural places.

The ambition of this project is to create a research program with solid roots that continues to trace its path in the years to come, using all the disposable tools for investigation and communication with the aim of deepen and disseminate the culture of sustainable architecture and the valorisation of the places of culture.
